Reverse Comfort

 Reverse Comfort

I was so warm and comfortable, laying on my person's chest. I felt so safe, listening to their heartbeat was so soothing. I shifted my head a little bit, and moved it down toward his tummy. I heard gurgling as usual, it was so cute. Only something didn't sound right, there was a particularly painful sounding gurgle. It must have been bad, because I felt them move underneath me. But then he settled back down, so everything seemed fine. Until a loud sick growl came from their tummy, causing him to sit up. I slid off of their tummy, and rolled over to the other side of the bed. "mmmm, ow." My person said rubbing their tummy. "What's wrong my love?" I asked a little concerned. "My tummy feels yucky." They said with a groan. "Could I rub it for you?" I asked kind of bashfully. "Sure." I laid down next to him, softly rubbed slow circles on their tummy. "That feels good, thank you puppy." I was happy he was starting to feel better. A few minutes of me rubbing their tummy, and my person still seemed to be in pain. "Is it still hurting?" I asked. "Yeah, it's pretty bad." I knew exactly what to do, I grabbed one of my plushies for him to cuddle, grabbed some water, and a heating pad. I came back to the room, and gently placed the heating pad on their tummy. I gave them the plushie, and he drank the water. "You're so sweet." I smiled, and snuggled up next to them. "Goodnight my person, I hope you feel better soon." I said then gave them a little kiss. "Thank you puppy, goodnight, love you." In the morning my person felt a lot better, and we had a great day just the two of us.
