 Letter to younger self

Dear 14 year old self, hey how are you? still obsessed with that band you like? Still in love with their lead singer? Well that changes, actually a lot of things change. You go through heartbreak, you go through a pandemic, you end up doing school online! Your life turns upside down, but in a way it was better for you. Online school changed your life, your heart heals when you find one of your idols. You eventually make friends again, yes we still dress in black, we still love music, still wear glasses, we're trying to get cleared for disability right now. We were diagnosed with social anxiety, OCD, selective mutism, and autism. We still have a hard time doing math, there's actually a name for it but we weren't tested yet. I know high school is hard right now, I know it may seem like everything is against you. But there's something you need to know little girl, it does get better! Sure you go through hard times, but they are worth it. Do you want to know who we are now? Well we're 19, we've found new and fun routines. We still love to dance and sing, but we do it more now, we have found friends again. They are really amazing friends, you would like them. And something you never expected to happen to you happens! Now I know you're madly in love with your celebrity crush right now, but he disappears from your life for awhile. Now we have someone really special in our lives, we have a boyfriend! Yeah I know right?! I was shocked too :) He's really amazing kiddo, and we love them more than anything. We also had one year of college but then dropped out when we realized it wasn't for us, but that's okay because now we have two blogs that write on! One for random writing and one for music, now you would probably be like "what happened to us?" a lot has changed kiddo, our range has gotten even better and we can hit notes we couldn't before! You would be so proud of us :) Not just for singing but for where we are now, growing up is scary sweetheart but it's also pretty cool! If we hadn't grown up, we never would've met all these amazing people or discovered other music. Well that's about it from your future self, you're gonna get through this kiddo I know because I'm you. Oh one last thing we also discover something new about ourselves, we find out we're demisexual, and we're happy about it because we finally understand our feelings. okay now that's it, hang in there little emo the future is pretty amazing when you get here :)
