 My Best Friend's Boyfriend

Hey is this thing on? Oh it is! Hi there, my name is Chole Oliver! I'm Nick Nelson's best friend since primary school, I'm a dancer, and a writer, I love spending time with my friends, and family. Nick and I actually dated at the start of year 10, we were together for about 6 months before we called it off. We realized that we were just better as friends, Nick and I hang out every morning before school starts just talking about trivial things. I watch him interact with his so called "mates" on the rugby team, and it always hurts my heart to see him look so uncomfortable around them. He acts so different around them if we aren't alone together, if it's just him and me hanging out, he's the Nick I grew up with. Fun loving, smily, always makes me laugh, caring, always makes me feel safe. Then there's the Nick with the rugby lads. He acts like them, doesn't really pay attention to people who are struggling. I mean sometimes he sticks up for people when Harry is being a jerk. When this boy Charlie came into his life, I saw the light back into his eyes, he started being the Nick I know and love. Whenever I watch them interact, it's the cutest thing ever! I still remember the day when he told me Charlie is his boyfriend, and when he came out to me.

Flashback

Nick and I were sitting on a bench near the park, with Nellie. Nick turned to me, with something on his mind. "Nicky just spill it already, you obviously want to tell me something, so just say it." I told him, playfully nudging his shoulder. "haha, okay, okay. Just promise me, you won't think differently of me when I tell you." I looked a little worried, what could he possibly tell me that would make me see him differently? I took his hand in mine, and said "Nicky, nothing will ever change between us, no matter what you say or do. You're my best friend and I love you." That made him feel better, he petted Nellies head, I squeezed his hand to reassure him. "okay, Chole. You know Charlie? the boy who I've been hanging around with?" I nodded, thinking about how Nick's face lit up when he said the boys name. "well he's my boyfriend, Charlie's my boyfriend and I'm bisexual." I moved closer to him, and brought him into a big hug. "I'm so happy for you." I said smiling.

Oh I have to go, Nick and Charlie invited to the park to play fetch with Nellie. But thanks so much for hearing the story of my bff and his boyfriend. See ya!
