 I'll Take Care of You

Hey everybody, for today's post this is a little short story about Nick and Charlie from Heartstopper! 

It was a typical day in Nick Nelson's house. Or so he thought, when Nick opened his eyes this morning he felt like he was hit by a bus. Every inch of his body ached, and there was a horrible pounding in his head. As he dragged his sore muscles out of bed, he swayed from the dizzy spell he witnessed. "Oh my God, I feel awful." he said to himself, slowly making his way downstairs. "hey Nicky, breakfast is ready." His mum said smiling. Nick slumped in his seat, feeling icky. "Morning mum." he said with a groan. "You don't look so good today Nicky, you feeling okay?" His mum felt his forehead, and frowned when she felt a fever. "oh Nicky, I think you have a fever. Why don't you go lay down, if you need anything just let me know okay?" Nick nodded, his mum kissed his forehead then he made his way back upstairs. As he flopped down on his bed, he rolled over to grab his phone off his nightstand, to call the only person who makes him feel better. "Hello?" Charlie said on the other end. "hey Char, I'm not feeling well." Nick said with a cough at the end. "Oh no, do you want me to come over?" Nick smiled at how thoughtful his boyfriend was. "yeah, that would be nice." A few minutes later Charlie showed up with movies, books, and a big fluffy blanket. "hey, I brought you some things to help you feel better." Nick brought Charlie in for a hug, and nuzzled his face into his neck. "thank you for being here." They went upstairs and laid down on Nick's bed. "how bad do you feel?" Charlie asked softly rubbing Nick's arm. "really bad, everything hurts." Charlie frowned at how miserable his boyfriend was. "it's okay Nicky, I'm here now. I'm gonna help you feel better." "can we cuddle? I just need to be held right now." How could Charlie say no to that? He pulled Nick onto his chest, and softly stroked his hair. "try to get some sleep, I'll be right here." Nick nuzzeled into Charlie's chest, and relaxed into his warmth. "I love you so much, and I'll always take care of you." Charlie whispered into Nick's hair, softly kissing him.
