 Valentine's Day

"Wake up sweetheart, it's a beautiful morning." Elrik whispered into Xanthous's ear. It was actually still dark outside but Elrik had something special planned today, for today is Valentine's Day! Xanthous rolled onto his back, and blinked the sleep from his eyes. "Morning handsome, excited today are we?" He asked smiling dreamily at his boyfriend. "I'm always excited waking up next to you every morning." Elrik leaned in to kiss Xanthous on the lips, loving the fireworks that go off in his head everytime they kiss. "I have something special planned today, and I wanted to make sure we were up early enough to see it." Intrigued, Xanthous rose off the bed and hugged Elrik close to him. "I can't wait." He whispered into his ear, sending shivers down Elrik's spine. They joined hands, and took the stairs leading outside. Once outside the temperature was a lot cooler than it was underground, and Xanthous shivered from the change in the weather. Elrik took off his jacket and wrapped it around Xanthous's shoulders. They climbed up to a hill a little far away from the underground kingdom and sat down on the top. "what did you want to show me?" Xanthous asked leaning his head on his boyfriend's shoulder. "you'll see in a few minutes baby, I promise." he kissed Xanthous's forehead, stroking his hair. "Have I told you how much I love you?" Elrik asked looking deeply into his man's eyes. "Only a million times, but I never get tired of hearing it." Xanthous said smiling. They stayed like this for awhile, until the break of dawn started to seep through the sky. "baby look, this is what I wanted to show you." The boys turn toward the sky watching as the sun rose over the horizen, it was a gorgeous sight. "This is beautiful, thank you for bringing me out here." Xanthous says basking in the glow of the morning light. Elrik didn't think his boyfriend could look more beautiful, until he saw the sunlight reflecting off of him. "You're very welcome, Happy Valentine's Day my love." Elrik says kissing Xanthous. "Happy Valentine's Day my forever." Xanthous says back.
