Deadly P.O.V.
Hi, my name is Deadly Nightshade. I'm princess of the land of the Fallen Angels. My best friends are Cerberus, and an angel named Dagger. He's a little older than me, but we've known each other since we were kids. When a fallen angel reaches a certain age, they are sent to earth. Fallen angels often have a certain reputation about us. Humans think we're angels of death, but that is not our department. We leave that to the grim reapers. Us fallen angels help people find love, we're kind of like cupids, only we don't shoot people with arrows. Instead, we are assigned to humans in need, and we befriend them. We get to know the person we're assigned to, and then we help them fall in love with whoever the person likes. And since I just turned 1500, it's going to be my turn! I'm so excited! Dagger has been teaching me about earth, and what it's like. Mom and dad have told me about it as well, and from their stories, earth sounds like a beautiful but also scary and lonely place. Still I am determined to help, I mean after all it's my birth right as a fallen angel! "Deadly Nightshade, now that you're of age. You're mother and I are so proud of you, and we're so excited to assign you your first human!" My dad said to me at my cermony. "The human you will be assigned to is Coltrane Samson." My mom read off the scroll. I was to be sent to earth right away, so I immediately started packing. "I think I have everything!" I said, when I came back to the throne room. "Oh, our little girl is all grown up." My mom said wiping a tear. "Go help this guy fall in love princess." My dad said, giving me a hug. I stepped into the portal between the land of the Fallen Angels, and Earth and I was swept away.

Coltrane P.O.V.
My name is Coltrane Samson, and you don't care. I guess nobody cares, I'm just a lost soul in this vast state we call life. I guess nobody understands me, I just go through life as an invisible shell of a human being. The only thing that keeps me going these days, is my music. The only way I can bare my soul, and drown out my tears. Even if I'm the only one who's around to listen to it. I was sitting in the woods one day, where I like to be most of the time. Strumming away, singing my heart out. When I see this flash of light come out of nowhere. "What was that?" I wondered, I looked up at the sky, and it was a clear day. Unfortunately. So it wasn't lightning. My curiousity got the best of me, and I walked deeper into the woods. What I saw was a woman, dressed in gothic attire. "Hello there, my name is Lyric Meadows." She said, holding out her hand. I was too stunned to speak, she was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to cause you such a fright." The woman Lyric said. "May I ask your name?" She said. "My name, is Coltrane. Coltrane Samson." I said, shyly. "That's a lovely name." She said, as she smiled at me. I looked away, blushing slightly. "Would you mind, showing me around? I'm new to the area." She said, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "Um, sure I guess." I said, leading the way. I couldn't believe this was happening, why was she being so nice? I can't understand it. "Oh, are you a musician? I love music!" She said, gesturing to my guitar. "I am, music is the only way I can express my pain." I said, flipping my hair out of my face. "I would love to hear you play." Lyric said, with an encouraging smile. I shook my head, I didn't really play for anyone. Not even my family. "I don't know." I said. "Okay, I won't push you." She said, respectfully. Wow, no one had ever respected my boundaries before. It was kind of refreshing. "Well, maybe I could play you one song." I said, leading her to the clearing where I like to practice. Lyric sat down on the log next to me, and I began to strum. As I played she was watching me the whole time, she almost seemed enchanted. I blushed when I looked at her. "That was amazing!" She said, clapping for me, when I was finished. "I sing a bit too." She said. "Would you sing for me?" I asked. Wondering where my confidence came from. There was just something so trustworthy about Lyric, and I felt almost comfortable around her. Even though I just met her. "Sure, I can sing for you." She said. As soon as she opened her mouth, I was shocked! She had the most beautiful voice, she sounded like an angel. "Wow!" Was all I managed to say when she finished. I was also impressed by her music taste, she comes off so sweet but she just sang a metalcore song. It was really cool. We eventually walked out of the woods, and I turned to her. "Thank you for today." I said, still looking down. "Thank you for showing me around the woods, and for playing a song for me." She said, with that gorgeous smile of hers. "Is your place close by?" I asked her. "Actually, I was hoping I could stay with you? If that's okay?" She asked. "Oh, um yeah I have a spare room in my apartment, you could stay there." I offered. "That sounds lovely, and thank you, I appreciate it." She said. What a crazy day I have had, I find a strange, beautiful woman in the woods, and now she's going to be staying at my apartment! She is really nice though. "Oh stop it Coltrane, there you go, getting your hopes up again." I thought to myself. When we got to my apartment, I held the door for her. "You have such a nice place here." Lyric said, taking in the sights of my small but cozy apartment. "Thank you." I replied. "Oh, um here, let me take your bags for you." I said, taking her bags upstairs. "This will be your room, mine is across the hall." I said, gesturing over to it. "I was thinking about turning it into my studio, but I don't think I'm good enough for that." I said. "Oh I'm sure that's not true, I heard you sing. I think you're very good! Very talented." She said, kindly. I just looked at the floor. "What brings you here?" I asked, as I helped her get settled. "Oh I'm just here for a change of pace, I start work at the coffee shop downtown tomorrow." She said, as she unpacked. "Oh that's cool." I said, a little awkwardly. "Could I ask you a personal question Coltrane?" She asked me. I nodded my head. "Is there anyone you're interested in? A crush perhaps?" She asked. I shook my head. "No, there's no one I like currently. I've sort of given up on love." I admitted. She looked lost in thought, and I was worried if I said something wrong. "Well, I believe there's someone out there for everyone." She said, smiling. "I'm sure she's out there Coltrane, you just have to believe it." She said, gently placing a hand on my shoulder. I just shrugged, and looked away. "Goodnight Coltrane, it was very lovely to meet you. And once again, thanks for letting me stay here." She said, before closing the door. "You're welcome, and it was nice to meet you too Lyric, I hope you like it here." I said, waving. "I wonder where she came from, she's unlike anyone I've ever met before." I thought to myself, lying in bed. I was so enamored by Lyric that I grabbed my notebook and started to write a new song, one about the mysterious girl from the woods.
Stay tuned for part 2 :)
