Skating For Love pt. 4

 Skating For Love pt. 4

(I'm gonna do a time skip here, this takes place after Kieran was killed)

Sam P.O.V.

Sad news everyone, not just for me, but for other important people in my life. It's something you never want to find out about. Chole and I were hanging out in my room one evening, watching a movie. Then suddenly we were interrupted by a news report. "Breaking News, it's a sad annoucement for the music world today. We just got word that famous rockstar Kieran Danson, was shot and killed by his father." The news woman said. Chole and I just sat there shocked, we couldn't move for like five minutes. "And just in case you were wondering if this was legit, I can assure you this was all too real." The news lady continued. Chole and I looked at each other, and we just started sobbing. We held each other for what seemed like hours just crying, my world has just shattered. Kieran was like an older brother to me, I looked up to him. He was my skateboard coach, my mentor and one of my best friends. But I couldn't imagine what my sister was going through, and also my girlfriend. Kieran was her cousin! Her family, she must be so devastated. "Okay, okay, I think I got most of it out." I said, pulling back to look at her. "I'm so sorry baby." I told her. "Th-thank you." She said, tears still streaming down her face. "I can't believe he's gone." She said, so sadly. "I can't either, he was an amazing person." I said, holding her close. "Would you mind if I call my sister? I can't imagine what she must be going through." I asked. "Yeah, I'm gonna call my aunt Sandra, she's probably not doing well right now either." Chole said, wiping the tears from her eyes. "Hey Emily, how are you doing?" I asked my sister. But all I could hear were devastating sobs, and rapid breathing. "Oh Emily, I'm so sorry." I said to her. "Hey, hey sis just take a deep breath." I told her, trying to help her calm down. "I watched him die Sam." She whispered brokenly. "Oh my God, are you on your way home?" I asked her. "Not yet, I'm gonna stay with the crew for a few more days, we're all greiving right now. Kieran wanted to be creamated, so we're gonna do that." She told me. "Okay, stay strong sis, and I hope you can come home soon." I told her. "I'll try my best to come home as soon as I can, how are you holding up?" She asked. "I'm just as devastated as you, and Chole she's heartbroken." I said. "I'm sure she is, I was gonna call Sandra but I can't bear to talk to her right now." Emily said. "I know, it's okay. Chole is talking to her right now." I said. "Okay, well I have to go, but I promise I'll be home soon." She said. "Okay, love you sis." I told her. "Love you too Sam." She said, before hanging up.

Chole P.O.V.

I still can't believe my older cousin is gone, and Emily saw the whole thing! She's in a very fragile state right now, but she's coming home today. Sam and I are trying to make things as comfortable as possible for her. My aunt Sandra, doesn't really want to see her right now, she's not taking this very well. Which is understandable. My mom is also broken up about it too, I mean he was her only nephew. She even died his hair for him. A car pulled up to the house, and I knew who it was. "Sam she's here!" I called to him. "Okay, we've got this. To your stations people!" Sam said, gathering everything. Their parents also wanted to be there for her, so they stood in front of the door too. "Welcome home Emily!" We all said, when she walked in. "Hey everybody, it's good to see all of you." She said, still really sad. "I'm so happy you're home sis." Sam said, giving her a hug. "Thanks Sam. Hey Chole, hey mom and dad." She said to her parents, and they gave her big hugs as well. "How's the label doing?" I asked her. "Everyone is heartbroken, Amanda has taken some time off work to greive." Emily said. "Um, I also brought home Kieran." She said, holding out an urn. It had his name written on it, and that's when we all broke down. We all just sat there crying, and hoding each other close. It was sad, but also beautiful at the same time. Because we were all there for one another, that's what family does. "Thanks for being here everyone, I really appreicate it." Emily said, wiping her eyes. "Of course sis." Sam said. "Well, I should get back to the house. I wanna say hi to Princess, and I'm gonna have to tell her that Daddy is gone." She said, crying again. "Hey sis, could Chole and I stay with you tonight?" Sam asked her. "You don't have to." She said. "No no, we want to." I insisted. "Well, okay then. Thank you." She said. Sam and I gathered up some things, then we went over to Emily's house.

Chole and I are spending the night at my sisters house. Kieran's urn is on the fireplace. We're all sitting together on the couch, just being close to each other. "Hey you two, Kieran left something to you." Emily said. "He left something for each of us actually." She said. "To Sam I leave my turtle Armor, I know you'll take good care of him." Emily read. "I'm honored, I will take good care of him." I said. "To Chole, I leave half of my CD collection. I knew how much you loved it growing up." Emily read to Chole. "That's so sweet." Chole said, putting a hand to her heart. "He left me the other half." Emily clarified. "To my mom I leave my first guitar she ever bought me, and a copy of my first album." Emily continued. "I'll be sure Sandra gets that." She said, tears clouding her eyes. "To my aunt Julia, I want her to have the studded bracelet she made me." Emily went on. "I can give that to my mom." Chole offered. "Thank you Chole, that would be nice." Emily said to her. "I already gave our crew what Kieran left for them." Emily said. "And to my amazing wife, I leave you the most precious thing of all. I leave you the photo album you gave to me as a wedding gift, because all of our memories from our first tour are in there." Emily read, and she started to cry. "He always was so romantic." She breathed out. Later while Emily went up to her room, to unpack. Chole and I were going through the CDs Kieran wanted her to have. "Wow he had the impressive collection." I said, looking over everything. "Yeah, he really did." Chole said, looking down. "Oh, this one was our favourite when we were little." Chole said, holding up a copy of Pierce The Veil's first album A Flair For The Dramatic. "I remember going a roadtrips, and we would beg our moms to play this for us." Chole said. "It sounds like a fun time." I responded, placing my hand on hers. "When Kieran was thirteen, and I was seven. I didn't understand what was going on with him. He just seemed really depressed, and kind of stand offish." She told me. "I didn't know how much he was struggling at the time, it wasn't until he ended up in the hospital that my mom told me he was hurting himself." She said, sniffling. "I didn't get to see him much after that, because he was in therapy. But when he was doing better, we got to hang out again. Which was really fun." Chole told me. It was nice hearing about the memories she has with him. "I remember this one time, when Kieran was teaching me a new skate trick." I chimed in. "I fell hard on my knees, and scraped them up really bad. I wanted to quit right then and there." I said, remembering that day. But Kieran helped me up, and took care of my scrapes. He told me "Falling is just part of skating, the more you fall, the more you learn." He was also very gentle when treating my cuts and scrapes." I mentioned. "He told me he loved me that day." I said, tearing up. Chole and I spent the rest of the evening sorting through the CDs, until we told Emily we were turning in for the night. "Okay, goodnight you two." Emily said, sadly. It hurts seeing her like this, but I get it we're all greiving right now. "Hey baby? You asleep?" I asked Chole, while we were laying in bed in the guest room. "No." She said, sitting up. "I wish we could do something for my sister." I said. "I know, something that would make her feel better." Chole agreed. "I guess maybe all we can do right now, is be there for her." I decided. "That sounds like a good idea." Chole said, then we both settled in for sleep.

Chole P.O.V.

It's been a few months since my cousin died, and everyone is still in a fragile state. But not as much as when it intially happened. Emily is doing better, she hangs out with the people from Torn Apart. They seem like great guys, and their significant others seem nice too. Sam and I are also there for her, as well as my mom. And of course her parents. My aunt Sandra still won't come see her though. She's still having a hard time with everything, which I totally get. I mean Kieran was her only son, she's allowed to grieve as long as she needs to. Sam has a skating competition today, and I hope Emily decides to come. I know it's been hard for her to go to the park. But I also know she supports her brother's dream, so fingers crossed she shows up. "Hey my skater boy, are you ready to go?" I asked my boyfriend, when I showed up at his house. "Yeah, I'm ready." He said, grabbing his board. His parents are gonna meet us there. "Wow I didn't realize so many kids would be here." Sam said, clutching his board. "Don't worry babe, you've got this." I reassured him. "Thanks, I'm really happy you're here." He said, kissing my hand. I blushed, then we made our way over to the sign in desk. "Hey there, Sam Peters sighing in." He said. "Okay, Sam, Sam. Uh yes here you are." The guy said. "I just need your age, and then you'll be all signed in." He said. "16" Sam said. "Okay, you're good to go." Sam made his way over to the ramps. "You go warm up babe, I'll go find my seat." I told him, kissing his head. "Okay." Sam said, before joining the other constestants. I went to take a seat, and sitting next to me was Emily! "You came." I said, turning to her. "I wanted to support my brother." She said. "Kieran helped him get here, I know he would be so proud of him." She said, with a bitter sweet smile. I thought he would be proud of Sam too, I know I am. "Attention everyone! Welcome to the first ever skateboard competition this park has ever held!" The announcer said. Our first competitors are Amy Kayden 13 years old, Jake Orson 15 years old, and Isabella Dagmar 17 years old." The annoucner said, and the contestants waved. "Alright let's see what you got!" The compeition started, first was Amy. She was pretty good. While I was watching, I looked over at Emily. She seemed to be in good spirits, but I could tell she had a deep sadness about her. "Hey, um Kieran loved you a lot." I said to her. "I know, I loved him too. So much." She said, looking away. "Whenever he would visit me, he would talk about you for hours." I said, recalling the memories. Emily smiled, as she looked at me. "When you two were first dating, and he came over one Saturday. He was so in love." I told her.

Flashback

Chole's P.O.V.

"Chole, your cousin's here!" My mom said, I raced downstairs. "Kieran!" I said, giving him a bug hug. "Hey Chole, it's good to see you." He said, tusseling my hair. "You know that girl I told you about?" He asked me. "Yeah." I replied. "I'm in love with her." He said, sighing. "That's amazing!" I said, clapping. "She's so great, such a sweet girl. I can't wait for you to meet her." He said. "I wanna show you my knew drawing." I said, leading him upstairs.

End Of Flashback

Chole's P.O.V.

"He was always so sweet." Emily said, wiping tears from her eyes. "He was." I agreed. "Thank you for that, it's nice to talk about him." She said, placing her hand on mine. "You're welcome." I responded. Finally, it was Sam's turn. He waved to me, and blew me a kiss, which I returned. Sam was incredible, and I'm not just saying that because I'm his girlfriend. I could tell he wanted this. "Woo! That's my boyfriend!" I screamed as everyone cheered. "Well done to all our competitors today!" The announcer said, and everyone clapped. "Our third place winner is Amy Kayden!" Congrats to her, for getting third. She was the youngest one out there, and it was her first competition! "Our second place winner is Isabella Dagmar!" She was also really good. "Now, our first place winner is Sam Peters!" I couldn't believe it, he won! He ran over to us, and I gave him a huge hug! "I'm so proud of you!" I said to him, giving him a passionate kiss. "Thanks baby, my first competition and I won!" He said, beaming. "Check out my medal!" He said, brandishing his gold. "It's awesome!" I said. "You did great Sam, Kieran would have been so proud of you." Emily said. "Sis, you came!" Sam said, giving her a hug. "I'm so happy I did, congrats bud." She said, giving him another hug. Sam and I went out to dinner to celebrate, it was such a fun time. Then we went back to his place, I was gonna spend the night. "Mwah, you were amazing out there!" I said, kissing his cheek. "Thank you baby, that means the world to me." He said, returning my kiss. "I love you, like really love you." I said, looking deep into his eyes. "Aww I love you too." He said, stroking my hair. "There's something, I've been wanting to talk to you about." I told him. He looked at me, to let me know he was listening. "I wanna take things to the next level with you." I said.

Sam P.O.V.

The next level? I wasn't sure how I felt about that, I mean Chole is beautiful, and I am attracted to her. But I don't think it's in the way she's thinking about. I know one person who can help me figure this out. "Would you excuse me for a second?" I asked Chole. She nodded. "I promise it's not anything you did, I just need to call my sister." I said. "I understand, please take your time." She said. I gave her my thanks, then went to call Emily. "Hey Sam, what's up?" Emily asked me, when she answered. "Hey sis, sorry to call so late. But I have something I need to ask you." I said. "What is it?" She asked. "How did you know you're asexual?"

Stay tuned for part 5
