Hey there, my name is Sam Peters. You probably have heard of my older sister Emily. She's a very successful music reviewer, and she's also married to famous rockstar Kieran Danson. Who is my skateboard instructor! Whenever he has some free time, Kieran takes me to the park and teaches me tricks! Oh, I guess I should tell you about myself. I'm fourteen years old, and starting high school soon. I love dinosaurs, skateboarding, video games, music, and making people laugh. I usually wear baggy clothes, like oversized t-shirts, and loose fitting jeans. I always wear a gray beanie, and my high top DC skate shoes. My hair is kind of long, it goes down past my shoulders a bit, and it's bright green right now. Because I love green. I also wear a guitar pic necklace that Kieran gave me for my birthday one year. I live with my mom and dad. I go to visit my sister and Kieran on weekends sometimes. I'm hanging out with my best friend Chris right now, we only have a few days left of summer, and we're trying to make the most of it. "Hey dude, check out this trick Kieran taught me." I said to him, as I shredded up the ramp. "Dude, that's sick!" Chris said, when I came down and high fived me. Chris and I met back in grade 7, and we've been inseparable ever since. Chris is a little taller than me, has short black hair, and kind of dresses like me. Only he doesn't wear a beanie, and he wears converse sneakers. Chris's parents are divorced, but he's still really close with both of them. He lives with his mom most of the time, but he sees his dad every other week sometimes and also on weekends. He also has a pet cat named Shadow. "Hey dude, you wanna go to the mall?" Chris suggested, and I thought that was a great idea. "Sure! I'll ask my mom if she can take us!" I said, and went back to my place. "Hey mom? Can you please drive Chris and me to the mall?" I asked coming inside the house. "Sorry honey, I can't today." She said, as we stepped farther into the house. "Aww, why?" I asked. "Because your dad and I are going out." She said. "Oh, okay." I said disappointed. Chris and I left my house, feeling dejected. "Hey, wait, I know who might be able to take us." I said, as I started running. "My sister and Kieran could probably take us, this is their house!" I said, as we walked up the steps. When I rang the doorbell, I heard Princess barking. "Hey, that's enough girl, I've got the door." Emily said, before she opened it. "Oh, hey Sam, hey Chris." She said to us. "Hey sis, Chris and I want to go to the mall. But mom and dad are too busy. Could you and Kieran take us?" I asked. "Sure buddy, I'll go tell Kieran." She said, stepping back inside. "Hey guys, who's ready to hit the mall?" Kieran said, holding his keys. On our way to the mall, Kieran asked us if we wanted to listen to a CD, and we said yeah! So Emily picked one from the case that was in the glove box, and popped it in. Avril Lavigne came through the speakers, it was the song Girlfriend. Chris and I looked at each other, and we both nodded. When it got to the chorus, we belted out "Hey hey, you you, I don't like your girlfriend." Then Emily and Kieran got into it with us, it was so funny. "Alright guys, we're here." Kieran said, pulling into the mall parking lot. "Where do you want to go first?" Emily asked us, when we got inside. "Hot Topic?" Kieran suggested. "That's where you and Emily shop right?" Chris said. "Yeah." Kieran answered. "Okay, we can go there. Maybe they have Blink 182 t-shirts." I said. So we went to Hot Topic. The store was actually pretty cool, Chris and I went to check out the band t-shirts. When we went over there, I noticed this girl that looked really familiar. "Kieran, Emily!" The lady that was with the girl, waved over to them. "Hey aunt Julia, hey Chole!" Kieran said, walking over to them. Chole, oh yeah we met at Emily and Kieran's wedding. "Dude, Chole is so pretty." Chris said to me. I never really thought about it before, but she actually was really pretty. I had never thought much about relationships and dating before, but when I look at my parents I see they love each other a lot. Then I look over at my sister and Kieran, I see that Kieran has his arm around her while she's showing him a plushie she wants. He turns his head to kiss her on the cheek and she giggles. They are clearly in love as well, I do have positive love influences in my life. The more I thought about it, the more I wanted that for myself. Then I started thinking maybe I should get to know Chole better. I walked over to her, and introduced myself. "Uh, hey. You probably don't remember me. But I'm Sam, Emily's brother. We met at her wedding two years ago." I said. She turns to me, looks at me. Then smiles. "Oh yeah, I remember you. When I caught the bouquet, I chased you around the park hehe." She said with a giggle. "Yeah hehe." I chuckled back. "So uh, what are you looking for here?" I asked. "Oh, I'm back to school shopping with my mom." She said, nodding toward the lady with purple hair. "Really, what school do you go to?" I asked her. "Eastwood High." She said. "Oh really? That's the high school I'm starting at." I said. "Cool." She said, tucking her hair behind her ear. "I really like your hair." I said. It was bright blue, with striped ends, and covered her face a little bit. "Thanks, I like yours too." She said. "Thank you." I told her. We talked for a little bit, and found out we had some things in common. "Hey, um could I have your number?" I asked her. "Uh, sure." She said, and we swapped phones, to put in our numbers. Then we handed them back. "I'll be waiting for your call." She said. "I will call you." I said, with a wink. "Dude that was so smooth!" Chris said, when I came back over to him. "Thanks man, she's actually pretty cool." I said, looking back at her. "A pop punk skater boy and a scene girl. Sounds perfect." Chris said. I playfully pushed him, then we went back looking at the shirts. "Dude, check out this shirt!" Chris said, holding up one. "Oh man, that's sick! I'll go ask Emily if I can get it!" I said, rushing over to her. "Hey Emily, can I get this shirt?" I asked. "Sure kiddo." She said, with a smile. "Thank you!" I said, then went to the check out. "Alright guys, where to next?" Kieran said, after we existed Hot Topic. "Can we go get smoothies?" Chris asked. "Sure." Kieran said. "Alright you guys go order what you want first." Kieran said when we got to the smoothie place. "Hi, can I please get a blueberry banana smoothie?" Chris asked the clerk. "I would like the coconut pineapple splash smoothie please." I said. "What do you want baby?" I heard Kieran ask my sister. "I want a chocolate banana smoothie." She said. "Hey there, can I please get a chocolate banana smoothie, and a dragon fruit raspberry blend please." Kieran said. After we all got our smoothies, we made our way to the other end of the mall. That's when we came across Spencer's. "Hey sis, can we go in here?" I asked my sister. "You know mom doesn't want you going in here." She said. "I know, but she doesn't have to know." I said, with pleading eyes. "Well, okay. But not a word to her about this okay?" She said. And I made a sealing motion across my lips. "Thanks for taking us to the mall." I said to Emily and Kieran as they dropped us off. "Anytime guys." Kieran said. Then they waved to us as they drove off. "Well, I should head home. But I'll see you later dude." Chris said. "Wait, you wanna hang out this weekend?" I asked him. "Sorry man, I can't I'm going to my dad's this weekend." He said. "Oh okay, well see you at school then!" I said. "See you!" He said, as he ran off to his house. I walked inside, found that no one was home. "Mom and dad must still be out." I said, so I got myself some dinner, then went up to my room. "Maybe I should call Chole." I thought to myself, as I laid there on my bed. I opened my phone, and hit her contact. It rang a couple of times, then it went through. "Hello? Sam is that you?" It was Chole. "Yeah, it's me hey Chole, how are you?" I asked. "I'm good, you?" She asked. "Oh you know, just chilling." I said, in a cool tone. "Hehe, oh really?" She asked, a little sarcastically. "Yup!" I said proudly. "Can I see you?" She asked, and I took a quick picture of myself. "You're cute." She said, so she must have got it. "Thanks." I said, blushing a little. Next thing I knew, she was sending me a picture of herself. "You're really pretty." I said to her. "Oh, thanks." She said, and I think I might've made her blush. "Is that lip ring real?" I asked. "I hope it's okay to ask that." I said, not wanting to make her uncomfortable. "Oh yeah, my mom took me to get it done." She said. "Did it hurt?" I asked. "Not really, just felt like a little pinch." She said. "Do you think I would look good with one?" I asked. "Yeah, I think you'd look great with one." She said, and I could hear her smile. We talked for a little while longer, then I looked at the time. "Oh shoot, it's that late already?!" I said, looking at the clock. "Oh yeah, I guess it is pretty late." Chole said. "I should go now, but it was really nice talking to you." I said to her. "It was really nice talking to you too. I was wondering, do you want to maybe hang out this weekend?" She asked me. "Sure, sounds fun!" I said. "Great, well talk to you later." Chole said, then hung up. "She's so cool." I said to myself, as I was falling alseep.
