A I Will Love You More Than Death one-shot

The axe wielding maniac, chased us down the street. He cornered us in an alley, he was getting awfully close to us. Kieran stepped in front of me, and whispered "run" to me. I told him I wasn't gonna leave him, the maniac lunged. Kieran pushed me out of the way, and the axe sliced into his chest. Being the coward the maniac was, he took off running. Kieran collapsed to the ground, holding his chest wound. Blood was everywhere, I ran up to him. Put his head in my lap, and held him as tears formed in my eyes. "Don't worry babe, I'm gonna get you some help." I said, reaching for my phone. But it was dead! What was I supposed to do?! I reached for Kieran's phone, but his was dead too! "You're gonna be okay, you're gonna be okay." I whispered sobbed, as I held him in my arms. "PLEASE HELP! IT'S MY BOYFRIEND, HE'S HURT!" I shouted at the top of my lungs, hoping someone would hear me. But no one came. "It's okay, baby. If I'm gonna die, I'm happy I'm not alone." Kieran whispered, his breath was getting more and more shallow. "Please, don't leave me. What am I gonna do without you?" I pleaded, as I held him closer. "You'll be okay, I know you will. Listen, I don't have much time. I need you to know, meeting you was the best thing that ever happened to me. And I love you more than anything, even more than death." The sobs were coming out harder now, I whispered. "I love you too, so much." I felt Kieran go stiff in my arms, and he kissed my hand one last time. Then his breathing stopped, I screamed at the top of my lungs. 

"NOOOOOOOO!" I bolted upright in bed, clutching my chest. A cold sweat broke out on my forehead. I was breathing heavily, and tears were streaming down my face. "Baby?! What's wrong? What happened?" I looked over and saw my sweet, caring boyfriend. He was alive, and he looked so concerned. I fell into his arms, and just cried. "Shh, shh, it's okay baby. I've got you, I've got you." He said, as he rubbed my back. "It was just a nightmare baby girl, you're safe now. I promise." Kieran, said. As he kissed my head. "It felt so real." I said in between sobs. "I know, sometimes dreams can seem real. But I promise it was all in your head." Kieran comforted. "Do want to tell me what happened? You don't have to, but I'll be here to listen if you do." He said, holding my hand. When I looked down at our intertwined hands, I knew they meant every word. "Okay, there was this axe wielding maniac. He chased us down the street, and cornered us in an alley." I said, getting shaky again. Kieran gave my hand a reassuring squeeze, and I took a deep breath. "He sliced the axe through your chest, and not too long after, you died in my arms." I said, and starting crying again. "Oh baby, that sounds horrible." He said, holding me tight. "I'm sorry you went through that, my poor girl." He said, stroking my hair. "I promise I'm not going anywhere, I love you more than anything." He said, looking me dead in the eyes. "I love you too, so very much." I said, we leaned in for a kiss. His lips on mine, felt so right. I knew there was no where else I supposed to be, other than here with my amazing boyfriend. "Now, how about we go back to sleep?" Kieran said. I nodded, as we both laid back down. Kieran placed a protective arm around me, and held me close. "Do you want me to sing to you?" He asked. I nodded. "Okay, are you comfy?" He said. "Yeah, I am." I told him. Kieran began to sing our favourite love song. "Stay for tonight, if you want to, I can show what my dreams are made of. As I'm dreaming of your face." I began to feel sleepy, and slowly my eyes closed. "They say that love is forever, your forever is all that I need. Please stay as long as you need, can't promise that things won't be broken. But I swear that I will never leave, please stay forever with me." I fell asleep after that, knowing that my boyfriend is here to protect me from anything that might hurt me.
