 The Wedding

It was the morning of the big day! Xanthous and Elrik were busy getting the last minute details done for the wedding, then later that day they were going to be husbands! "I can't believe in just a few hours we're gonna be husbands!" Xanthous shouted hugging his fiance tight. "I know, I'm so happy, there's no one else I'd rather be marrying." Elrik said kissing Xanthous on the cheek. They went out to the garden to check on the preparations, and everything looked beautiful! There was red roses leading up tp the alter, fireflies were hovering over the podium, gorgeous vines with various flowers woven through them were wrapped around the chairs, and for the boys special requests some of the fire demons came up to see this moment. They had a special section away from the guests so they didn't get burned, that was Xanthous's request, and for Elrik the colours for the theme was black and white as an homage to his kingdom. "wow everything looks so good!" Xanthous said as he pulled Elrik along with him to the alter. "It's perfect, your friends did such a great job!" Elrik said slowly dancing with his handsome fiance on the spot where they were going to be married. "you look so beautiful." Elrik whispered into Xanthous's ear. "I'm not even dressed for the wedding yet silly." Xanthous playfully said to his charming husband to be. "I know, but you always look amazing." This made Xanthous blush, he couldn't believe he had met the love of his life so early in life. But he wouldn't have wanted it any other way. It was getting closer to the ceremony, and the boys were getting dressed in their suits. Xanthous had on a golden metallic suit, with orange flames on the sleeves and pantlegs, and to top it off a blazing red bowtie. Elrik was dressed in a black and white checkered suit with a little touch of blue on the cuffs of the sleeves. They were dressed, and had their hair styled the way they both liked. It was time for the ceremony to begin! Lucy played the wedding march on her tamborine with a little back up from the band they hired. Emeralda walked Xanthous down the aisle, with tears in her eyes at how proud she was of her best friend. As they made their way to the alter, Emeralda pulled Xanthous aside as said "Xan, I am so proud of you and I am so happy for you. You're my best friend and I love you." Xanthous was so touched by this that he pulled Emeralda into a hug. "thanks Em, you're my best friend too, and I love you so much!" After they hugged Emeralda went to her seat. Next was Elrik's turn to walk down the aisle. Skylene was the one who was walking Elrik down the aisle and she also had tears in her eyes, but then again she always cried at weddings. When Xanthous saw Elrik coming towards him, he couldn't believe his eyes. His beautiful fiance looked absolutely amazing! Once he got to the alter, Skylene had a few words to say first. "Xanthous, Elrik I just want to say how happy I am for you guys, and I love you so much!" "thanks Skylene, I love you too." Then she went to go find her seat. "you look amazing." Xanthous said to Elrik. "you look amazing too." Elrik said with a huge smile on his face. "I agree you both look amazing!" Just then Brystal walked in with her date Ryder. "I'll go find my seat, you go marry those friends of yours." Ryder said kissing Brystal on the cheek. Brystal blushed, then she walked up to alter behind her friends. "dear friends we are gathered here today to celebrate the joining together of these two soulmates. They are two of the best friends I have ever asked for, all of us could have ever asked for. I am so honoured to day to be able to join these two lovers for ever in love. I believe the lovely couple have vows they would like to exchange." Xanthous turned towards Elrik and prepared his vows. "Elrik from the moment I laid eyes on you, I knew I liked you. You were so different and kind, and caring. You helped someone you barely knew, even if it meant risking your life. The time we've spent together has been the greatest experience of my life, and I can't wait to make more memories with you. I'll love you forever, and I will always protect you." This made Elrik tear up. He loved this boy more than anything. "Xanthous I thought you were very funny when I first met you, I thought you were adorable, and sweet. Turns out I was right about all those things, I love the dates we go on, the kisses and hugs we've shared. All the laughs and tears along the way. I love that I can help you with your anxiety, I'm happy you feel safe with me because I feel safe with you too. I promise to always protect and love you no matter what, you are the love of my life Xanthous." Now the tears were streaming in earnest down both boys faces. They loved each other so much, and were so ready to take this next chapter of their lives. "do you Xanthous take Elrik to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, through sickness and in health as long as you both shall live?" Brystal asked with her own tears of joy. "I do." Xanthous said grabbing Elrik's hands. "do you Elrik take Xanthous to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, through sickness and in health as long as you both shall live?" "I do." Elrik said smiling at his boy. "Then with all the power invested in me, I now pronounce you Husbands for life. You may now kiss the groom." Xanthous and Elrik pulled each other close and and kissed for all their friends to see. They were finally married! The reception was beautiful. Xanthous and Elrik slowed danced with their arms wrapped around each other. They were so happy! Later that night, when they made it back to their room, they laid down on the bed and cuddled. "Well how does it feel to be Mr. Hayfield-Elderwood?" Xanthous asked his new husband. "It feels like I've waited my whole life for this moment." Elrik said kissing his husband on the lips. "I love you so much." "I love you too."
